From 22 to 25 February, Valery Gergievs festival «MPHIL 360°» will take place in Munich!
This year, the festival is dedicated to Igor Stravinsky.
Especially intense will be the program on February 24. In the afternoon, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and the ODEON Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, will perform music from The Firebird ballet by Igor Stravinsky. German actor and TV host Malte Arkona will be the host of the concert.
In the evening, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra led by Valery Gergiev will again perform the works of Igor Stravinsky and Ludwig van Beethoven (with Hélène Grimaud as the lead pianist). In the second part of the program, a ballet performance will be shown, for the first time at the «MPHIL 360°» Festival.
#MariinskyBallet soloists will present the premiere of the theatrical season 2017/18 – Igor Stravinsky's Petrushka, with choreography staged by Vladimir Varnava.
